Counselling at Lead offers the unique experience of
being actively listened to with a warm, genuine non-judgemental person. It’s an
opportunity to invest time in mental health, gain a deeper understanding of
yourself and develop self-compassion and acceptance. Most of us have friends
and family who listen to us, but generally there are interruptions and
distractions so it can be hard to gain their full attention. Family and friends
are usually emotionally involved in whatever is troubling us so discussing our feelings
may upset or anger them so therefore many of us do not get a chance to explore
our emotions freely.
Counselling is an opportunity to freely explore your thoughts and feelings
without distraction with a trained, experienced impartial professional. Coming
to counselling is not about me solving your problems or giving advice, but
rather about you gaining insight, regaining faith in yourself which will in
turn improve your confidence. This journey into yourself can enable you to gain
a clearer view of what is troubling you so you can resolve it in a way that is
best suited to you and in turn help you live a happier and more fulfilled life.
